.: about me

I'm a Freelance Photographer, which means I take pictures of about anything that interests me, or where and what I maybe doing at the time.

I started into photography in the late '70's with a Minolta XD5. And yes we only had film in those days. When using a film camera you tend to take more time in framing that shot, making the correct camera settings. So you learned a lot more about photography then than you do now days with just point and click and see what I get. If I don't like it, I'll take another one. That's fine if you have the time to get that second shot. But sometimes you only get that one chance and that's when it pays off to know more about your camera and what it and you can do.

So over these few years since the '70's, I have acquired a few pictures or two. On this site I'm going to provide a link to some of those images (and only the ones I think are the better ones) as time permits. (I also have a link to my sons photo site)

I will start mostly with the digital ones since those are faster to process and get online.
But in time I would like to post some of the ones I have taken with film.

I have recently got into doing drone photography also. (some video but mostly photos) I'm still learning this new skill so as it grows, I'll include some of those also.
With the drone there's more to it than just framing the shot, make the proper settings of the camera and taking the photo. There's also the flying side of it also. So you are doing two or more tasks at once. In video this can be triple or more the multi-tasking duties as you are framing the shot with the gimble that holds the camera plus flying the drone smoothly as you can. Sometimes you get it right, sometimes you do it over. Which it is in a lot of the cases with photography. I guess that's one part of it that I like, the challenges it gives me.

So it will be a voyage of just snippets of light & time thru my life.
